From April 21 to 23, 2026, representatives of the National Office of Social Insurance participated in the second round of negotiations on the draft Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Albania in the field of social security, together with experts from the relevant Albanian authorities, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the National Council for the Determination of Disability and Work Capacity.
Thus, the Agreement will ensure the protection of social security rights for citizens of both countries who have worked in the territory of the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Albania, facilitating the aggregation of insurance periods and the determination of social benefits in accordance with applicable international standards, thereby providing a higher level of protection for migrant workers and their families.
