According to the Operational Report on the execution of the state social insurance budget, in the first 3 months of 2026, the state social insurance budget accumulated revenues totaling 14,385.9 million lei, or 28.0% of the approved annual plan.
Mandatory state social insurance contributions amounted to 7,017.2 million lei, or 22.4% of the annual target, representing an increase of 608.8 million lei (9.5%) compared to the amount collected during the same period last year.
Other revenues amounted to 246.1 million lei, of which 243.8 million lei constituted the portion of the single tax collected from residents of information technology parks, which increased by 29.9% compared to the previous year.
Transfers from the state budget totaled 7,122.6 million lei, in accordance with funding requests, of which:
- 4,667.6 million lei—intended for the payment of social assistance benefits and other payments;
- 2,455.0 million lei—allocated to cover the shortfall in own revenues of the state social insurance budget.
Total expenditures amounted to 13,148.9 million lei, or 25.6% of the planned annual amount. Compared to the same period last year, expenditures increased by 767.6 million lei, or 6.2%.
The execution of the state social insurance budget in the first three months of 2026 resulted in revenues exceeding expenditures by 1,237.0 million lei.
The balance of funds in the NOSI's accounts as of April 1, 2026, amounted to 1,236.8 million lei.
