The National Office of Social Insurance warns of fraud attempts in which the institution's name is falsely invoked

The National Office of Social Insurance (NOSI) informs citizens that have been reports of unknown individuals calling pension beneficiaries and falsely presenting themselves as NOSI’s employees.
During these calls, the individuals request personal and banking details, using various pretexts related to the establishment and review of pensions or other social benefits.
NOSI emphasizes that the institution's employees DO NOT request bank details, passwords, security codes, or other confidential information from beneficiaries over the phone.
In this context, we recommend citizens to be cautious and not to provide personal or banking details to unknown persons claiming to represent the institution.
If you receive such calls, we recommend that you to end the conversation and verify the information only through NOSI’s official channels.
