NOSI Strengthens Its Family-Friendly Policy Approach in the Institution’s Work
Today, the National Office of Social Insurance hosted a dialogue session titled “Resilience Through Family-Friendly Policies,” dedicated to promoting a more inclusive institutional environment and identifying solutions for public services that are more accessible and tailored to the needs of families with children. The event brought together representatives from the National Office of Social Insurance (NOSI), the United Nations Population Fund in Moldova (UNFPA), and the Partnership for Development Center.
During the session, the three roles of NOSI in promoting family-friendly policies were analyzed: as an employer, as a provider of services for families, and as a key partner in public policy development. Discussions focused on the participation in the workforce of parents with young children, the creation of a flexible work environment, and the identification of measures that can contribute to a better work-life balance. In this context, NOSI already implements a flexible work schedule and, for certain activities, remote work.
Another important topic was beneficiaries’ access to social benefits and the reduction of administrative barriers. The digitization of services and the proactive provision of benefits help simplify interactions with the institution and save time for families with children. At the same time, the session addressed ways in which NOSI's data and expertise can contribute to the development and improvement of public policies.
The session offered participants the opportunity to analyze specific situations and identify measures to strengthen a family-friendly institutional environment and public services that are better aligned with citizens’ needs. NOSI thanks its partners for their collaboration and contribution to promoting family-friendly policies.
