During the third week of the “Social Benefits in Every Corner of the World” awareness campaign, we were able to speak with residents of Ungheni, Strășeni, Cimișlia, and Chișinău about the social insurance benefits provided by the National Office of Social Insurance and how these benefits can be received, including by citizens living abroad.
An important topic addressed during the discussions was how to receive social benefits. Beneficiaries have two options:
Through a social bank card or by linking any existing bank account to their social benefits via the EVO app. This way, the money can be received and accessed anywhere in the world;
Through post offices—the money can be picked up at any post office within the Republic of Moldova.
Important for beneficiaries who choose the post office option: the money must be picked up within 3 months. If the benefit is not claimed within three months, payment will be suspended.
To resume payments, the beneficiary must contact the Territorial Office of Social Insurance in their place of residence, bring their ID card, and submit an application.
