With regard to certain information that has appeared in the public domain, the National Office of Social Insurance (NOSI) states that the claims regarding alleged overpayments made to certain recipients of disability benefits are incorrect.
At this time, NOSI clarifies that no decisions have been issued regarding the repayment of unduly paid amounts, nor have any official reports been drawn up for the recovery of the amounts referred to in the circulating reports.
Furthermore, the individuals affected by this information have no outstanding debts to the state social insurance budget. They have been and continue to be recipients of social benefits, in accordance with the provisions of current legislation.
