On June 18, a delegation from the National Social Security Institute of the Italian Republic is on a working visit to the National Office of Social Security of the Republic of Moldova, organized in accordance with the provisions of the Protocol on Cooperation in the field of pension and social security between the two institutions.
An important topic of discussion is the organizational structure of the National Office of Social Insurance, proactive benefits, as well as social benefits provided to families with children.
The working meeting also focuses on the electronic exchange of forms for the implementation of the Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the Italian Republic in the field of social security, signed on October 31, 2024, and entered into force on September 1, 2025, technical and procedural aspects regarding the exchange of information on the deaths of beneficiaries, as well as the method for determining and calculating the amount of pro-rata pensions for persons who have completed periods of insurance in both countries.
