From March 18 to 20, 2026, an official delegation from the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Agency for Sustainable and Operational Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan (DOST) is visiting the Republic of Moldova to participate in the High-Level Conference on the European Social Charter.
In the context of long-standing inter-institutional cooperation, on March 18, Azerbaijani officials met with the Director General of the National Office of Social Insurance of the Republic of Moldova, Ms. Elena Țîbîrnă, during which they discussed issues related to the implementation of DOST best practices by NOSI, as well as the exchange of experience regarding the improvement of the quality of consultation services provided by the Call Center and the implementation of the one-stop shop for social protection services.
The topic of concluding a social security agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Azerbaijan, based on the territorial principle, was also discussed. Representatives from the Republic of Azerbaijan expressed their willingness to provide the necessary consultations regarding the implementation of best practices.
The bilateral discussions will contribute to the development of collaborative relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Azerbaijan in the field of social security and to the identification of new opportunities for institutional cooperation.
