Operational Report on the Execution of the State Social Insurance Budget for the First Two Months of 2026
According to the Operational Report on the execution of the state social insurance budget, in the first two months of 2026, the state social insurance budget accumulated revenues totaling 9,952.1 million lei, or 19.3% of the approved annual plan.
Mandatory state social insurance contributions amounted to 4,614.4 million lei, or 14.7% of the annual target, representing an increase of 395.4 million lei (9.4%) compared to the amount collected during the same period last year.
Other revenues amounted to 165.6 million lei, of which 164.8 million lei constituted the single tax collected from residents of information technology parks, which increased by 20.4% compared to the previous year.
Transfers from the state budget totaled 5,172.1 million lei, in accordance with funding requests, of which:
- 3,062.1 million lei - allocated for the payment of social assistance benefits and other payments;
- 2,110.0 million lei—intended to cover the shortfall in own revenues of the state social insurance budget.
Total expenditures amounted to 8,713.2 million lei, or 16.9% of the planned annual amount. Compared to the same period last year, expenditures increased by 511.2 million lei, or 6.2%.
The execution of the state social insurance budget in the first two months of 2026 resulted in revenues exceeding expenditures by 1,238.9 million lei.
The balance of funds in the NOSI’s accounts as of March 1, 2026, amounted to 1,361.5 million lei.
