NOSI participates in Consultations on the Social Security Agreement with the Republic of Ireland

Today, on December 10, representatives of the National Office of Social Insurance are participating in consultations on the draft Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Ireland in the field of social security.

The conclusion of the Agreement guarantees social protection for Moldovan citizens who are working or have worked in Ireland and have paid social insurance contributions in that country. Under the provisions of the agreement, citizens will be entitled to old-age, disability, and survivor's pensions.

Currently, the Republic of Moldova has signed 20 agreements in the field of social security with Romania, the Portuguese Republic, the Republic of Bulgaria, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the Republic of Austria, the Republic of Estonia, the Czech Republic, the Republic of Poland, Hungary, the Kingdom of Belgium, the Republic of Lithuania, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of Turkey, the Republic of Belarus, the Hellenic Republic, the Italian Republic, the Kingdom of Spain, the Republic of Latvia, the Swiss Confederation, and the French Republic.
