The National Office of Social Insurance applies agreements in the field of social security with 16 states based on the principle of proportionality

To date, NOSI applies the provisions of 16 international agreements in the field of social security signed with the following countries: Romania, the Portuguese Republic, the Republic of Bulgaria, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the Republic of Austria, the Republic of Estonia, the Czech Republic, the Republic of Poland, Hungary, the Kingdom of Belgium, the Republic of Lithuania, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of Turkey, the Republic of Belarus, the Hellenic Republic and the Italian Republic.

Only during 2023, on the basis of the above-mentioned agreements, 339 social benefits have been established as follows:

- 294 old-age pensions 

- 38 disability pensions  

- 7 survivors' pensions
