Operational Report on the Execution of the State Social Insurance Budget for the First 5 Months of 2026
According to the Operational Report on the Execution of the State Social Insurance Budget, during the first 5 months of 2026, the state social insurance budget collected revenues totaling 23,352.9 million lei, or 45.4% of the approved annual plan.
Mandatory state social insurance contributions totaled 12,009.5 mil. lei, or 38.3% of the annual target, representing an increase of 1,044.9 mil. lei (9.5%) compared to the amount collected during the same period last year.
Other revenues amounted to 438.0 mil. lei, of which 427.3 mil. lei represented the portion of the flat tax collected from residents of information technology parks, which increased by 29.4% compared to the previous year.
Transfers from the state budget totaled 10,905.4 mil. lei, in accordance with funding requests, of which:
- 7,405.4 mil. lei—allocated for the payment of social assistance benefits and other payments;
- 3,500.0 mil. lei—allocated to cover the shortfall in own revenues of the state social insurance budget.
Total expenditures amounted to 22,000.3 mil. lei, or 42.8% of the planned annual amount. Compared to the same period last year, expenditures increased by 931.3 mil. lei, or 4.4%.
The execution of the state social insurance budget for the first five months of 2026 resulted in revenues exceeding expenditures by 1,352.6 mil. lei.
The cash balance in the NOSI's accounts as of June 1, 2026, amounted to 1,352.3 mil. lei.
