NOSI reminds that as of January 1, 2024 the single birth allowance – 20,000 MDL

NOSI recalls that as of January 1, 2024, the single childbirth allowance will be established ex officio, based on the data on the birth of the child available in the State Register of Population, without the need to submit the application to the territorial social insurance office or electronically.

At the same time, we inform that, as of January 1, 2024, the single childbirth allowance has been increased by MDL 9,068, from MDL 10,932 to MDL 20,000. The increase in the single childbirth allowance is one of the measures envisaged in the Program of activity of the Government "Moldova prosperous, secure, European", aimed at supporting families and reducing child poverty.

Since the beginning of this year, 5610 families in Moldova have benefited from the single childbirth allowance of MDL 20,000, paid ex officio by the National Office of Social Insurance, without the need for parents to submit any documents.
